Back at it

So many things going on I don't even know where to start. Typically, I don't like doing "catch-all" blog entries because I like to categorize my topics... but the cryptonite to that is I generally lose steam and/or I am too long winded and I never get to list item No2, No3, etc. Oh well. I'll throw a dart at the board here and start with what popped up when I logged on today.

Pilates!

I saw the picture from when I was researching the class schedules back in Sept and I'm happy to say I am back in it. It took some fancy schedule stalking, but in the end, I had to cave and register to actually get my name in the books (all the latest classes were constantly booked solid and I wasn't able to get in a class). So I bit the bullet, thinking I'd be waiting a few weeks to finally go.. but ironically I registered on the day they released the next month's schedule and I was able to get my name in first!

Funny part: when I registered for my classes through the end of the current schedule, cross checking with my call days, had a few extra credits left over, so I slipped myself in some random classes where people had to cancel last minute (etc)... Well, h.o.l.y...

It's like I'm a glutton for punishment at this point. It is royally kicking my ass. I know I missed it, I know I loved it, but I am majorly feeling the pain. I wasn't sure if the CardioSculpt classes would be "enough" for what I was looking for, and while it might not be the same "cardio" as what running on an elliptical machine for 20mins would be, I still left the building sweating.

I only mention that because I am considering signing up for Planet Fitness also... for the weird times in between my call days and available classes and when I'm jonesin' for something extra.

I noticed the combination of classes and time availability I originally fell into (Jan into Feb) was Wednesday ReformerFlow 1 and Sunday CardioSculpt 1

Next Call schedule (Feb into March), this will change to Thursday ReformerFlow 2.5 and Monday ReformerFlow 1.5. I will need to talk to them about that 2.5 class since you need approval to get in.

So far, I feel I am accommodating/ attending nicely. I feel good about the minimum 2 classes a week (sometimes 3), and now that I am a couple months in, it's becoming an increasingly interesting pick n' play type of deal when I go to sign up for my call days (I'll actually cross reference the pilates schedule LOL). The Planet Fitness comes into play for the days I'm not on call but didn't have a class at the right time.

Why?
Because I'm increasingly not fond of where I'm at lately. I'm frustrated. The "Meal Planning Exhaustion" is real; all my efforts at Keto are seriously not working anymore - plus I'm at the point where I'm sick of avoiding a baked potato simply because it has carbs; I don't like what the scale is reporting back to me (yes, I've had pandemic regain) and.. honestly, it may be my psyche screaming that it's sick of being on lockdown -- so much that I'm craving the physical exertion/activity of literal workout facilities. While I'm loving the fact I can literally feel the fact I am getting a real core-based workout, I don't think it's satisfying my desired calorie-burning factor.

So, this is my current status. I'm back in Pilates, Loving it, but still wanting more. Next up (I told myself I'd give it a few weeks before making my final decision) is the high probability of adding Planet Fitness into the mix.
