House Meeting No.1

The meeting with Construction Manager went AWESOME.

I had heard how some places kind of hint that they want everything done by appointment only... but she was a completely open book. She was like "you can come by any time you feel like it. After hours. Weekends. Whenever. You can take pictures of whatever you want. Come take measurements! Check it all out! If you want more than that, by all means, we can totally set an appointment where I can meet up with you if you want a one-on-one!"

She answered all of my questions - like if some mysterious additional insulation somehow appeared overnight in the garage walls before the drywall was hung, she'd be like, "Well ain't that sumpin!" LOL. Some super WEIRD tidbits that made me toss & turn at night [like thinking we had no electrical outlets on the exterior of the house]... we totally do. What I didn't select was the additional electrical boxes... which would be in addition to the multiple that come standard.

Passing the Time

There really hadn't been a whole lot to update about over the last 6 weeks or so. I mean, global pandemic, yeah... but - about that - ok, so I'll take a moment to go ahead and elaborate on how things have been.

I work in the medical field and I have no kids.

I feel like these are the 2 topics that effected the most people. Through this entire thing, I have kept going to work. I think in the first week of official Lock Down, I received my "Essential Worker" documents that I was to keep in my vehicle in case I was ever held up or pulled over or accosted for being out. There was a serious decline of volume at work (at first) when everyone was actually staying home - but I still had to go to work. Definitely job security. No "WFH" [working from home] for me! So, no. I was not effected by the Unemployment Disaster. For me, it was honestly "Business as Usual."
