Happy Baby (Pilates pt4)

At the beginning of every Pilates Class, the instructor asks if anyone has any injuries or issues that she should be aware of. I finally made a point to mention that I was having issues with my Bicep on my right arm. My dominant arm. I am dedicated to working through this in the smartest way possible. If it means making modifications to my Pilates workouts, I'm okay with that.

I mean, the entire purpose I'm in this class is to get myself in better working order. I want to be strong in all the right places so that I'm not hurting & aching like I am so frequently.

No 2 classes are ever the same, and Saturday's class was no different. We actually used our boxes as platforms on the reformer and did reverse push-ups.

I am always so surprised at just how therapeutic the leg stretches are on the Reformer. "Leg Day" is my favorite part. Maybe because it feels so good on my lower back (and that was my initial problem). I just can't get enough of it. All the little poses. The frog, where you bed your knees. heels together, and point your toes out. Or the Happy Baby - which I did completely wrong and ended up looking like some weird sumo wrestler on crack.

But hey, at least everyone was on their own machine and didn't pay me any attention. LOL :>

Afterwards, the instructor went over some specific stretches I could use that may help my arm. I appreciate her helpfulness.. And her patience.

Am I really 4 classes in already? Geez. I'm torn - I feel like "wow! that flew by" and also a little bit of "Damn, I really want to do even more." I need to make it a priority to get over to Elements and cancel the massage membership. I meant to do that this weekend, but I was incredibly exhausted and lost an entire day just to sleep.

Abiding by my own mental agreement, I can't increase my Pilates membership until I close out the other one. I have given it a lot of thought, and even if I haven't made it over there before work yet, that doesn't mean that I won't. There's a Thursday 10:30am class I could sneak off to. I might just try that. That could make my Pilates Classes Thursdays & Saturdays.

Decisions, decisions!
