Belif Skincare

All roads point back to IPSY and finding a product I fell in love with.

I believe I had finally decided to order one of my very first expensive products from Sephora and being a new Sample-Addict (also thanks to Ipsy) I was all over the "select-a-sample" options that accompany your Shopping Cart on Sephora's website. Somewhere along the line, I ended up with a Belif product.

I distinctly remember the Witch Hazel Herbal Extract Toner being one of the first purchases - and how I was so nervous about it because I had always put Witch Hazel in the same category as "astringent." In my mind, with astringent being the equivalent of rubbing alcohol, that was definitely not what I was after... but it said it was for Dry Skin?!

Spoiler Alert: the toner alone was a game changer for me. We're talking "Holy Grail." and now I have to use it everyday.

Fast forward to today, and I pretty much use the entire line for my skincare routine. I'll alternate between the Gel Oil Enriched Cleanser & the Creamy Cleansing Foam Moist (I couldn't decide) for my face wash... I've got the Aqua Bomb (moisturizer) and the Hungarian Water Essence (Serum).. I even have the Moisturizing Eye Bomb and the Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask (these were splurges).

My whole life, my skin has generally been pretty tame. I never really had any sort of bad acne or anything... I'm just incredibly fair skinned and it's somewhat sensitive. A lot of the drugstore cleansers are geared for teenagers that have super oily skin (and bad breakouts) and the chemicals in those strip a little too much from my face. So, I practically need an all-natural cleanser without the added acids that kill zits.... and the belif line is pretty much exactly that.

Lastly, one of my favorite, favorite, favorite parts about this line, is that it has a Best Sellers On-The-Go travel kit.. which literally has all my MUST HAVES (already in a bag) for when I go on vacation. I'm a complete sucker for Mini's. Full Disclosure: I actually have 2 of these on hand. One is legit for my suitcase, the other is my back-up in case I run out of my full size and haven't gotten in it's replacement yet.

One final thought before I wrap up this entry: It's important for you guys to remember that there is so much chemistry involved with how your skin will truly respond to a product. What is a holy grail for my skin, does not mean that your holy grail product is any less beneficial or "less worthy" simply because it hasn't graced the pages of my website. If a product does wonderful things for you and your skin, that's ultimately the goal and the only thing you should worry about.
